

Jack C. Bryant, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 8, 1940, in Lexington, Oklahoma, to Charles Grant Bryant and Ethel Ollie (Coles).
Jack attended Northeast High School, graduating with the Class of 1958. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965, stationed in Germany.
In 1967, Jack met the love of his life, Susan Harman, in Kansas City, Missouri. They married on October 12, 1968, at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, beginning a lifelong journey together. The couple returned to Oklahoma City, where they spent many years creating treasured memories. Jack’s love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and he will be remembered as an incredibly devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Jack had a deep passion for country and western music, fishing on Lake Eufaula, and spending time on the open road, where he always found joy in driving. He loved nothing more than sharing old stories with friends and family or watching comedy movies that made him laugh. His warm heart, kind nature, and infectious sense of humor earned him the respect and love of many. Jack will be remembered as a true friend, an exceptional husband, and the absolute best dad and grandpa.
Professionally, Jack enjoyed a long career as a bus driver with Greyhound, where he earned numerous Driver of the Year awards for his dedication and excellence. He was also a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife Susan of the home; his son Scott Bryant and his spouse Brittany of Norman; three grandchildren: Kobi Bryant of Norman, Logan Bryant and his wife Jaycie of Oklahoma City, and Maegan Bryant and her spouse Brent Polise of Oklahoma City; his daughter-in-law Janet Bryant of Moore; his sister-in-law Judy Edelman of Hobe Sound, Florida; his niece Dr. Sarah Edelman of Tampa, Florida; and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel; his son, Stephen Bryant; and his brothers, Kenneth and Donald Bryant.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, with Pastor John N. Punni II officiating. The family has requested that guests wear casual blue clothing to honor Jack’s wish for comfort. Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Oklahoma.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his love and legacy will continue to live on through his family and friends.
