Jimmy Lee Day, age 66, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. Born in Oklahoma City in 1959 to Roy Day and Rosa Gilbreath, he was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation and a devoted father, grandfather, and friend.
A Baptist and owner of a brick masonry company, Jimmy built his life on honest work and quiet dependability. Those who knew him understood they could count on his steady presence and his willingness to lend a hand, offered simply and without hesitation.
Jimmy found joy in life’s enduring pleasures—watching the Chicago Cubs, caring for his many farm animals, and spending time in nature. In these moments, his grounded spirit and generous heart were most evident, and they will remain a lasting part of how he is remembered.
He is survived by his son Joshua, granddaughters Lilith and Rosa, and brothers Larry and Kenny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Day and Rosa Gilbreath.
