

John Bernard Turcotte Jr., fondly known as "JB," passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on December 10, 1936, in Malta, Montana, JB was the beloved son of John Turcotte Sr. and Amanda (Torgenson) Turcotte.
A proud veteran, JB served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force, where he was deployed to both Korea and Vietnam. After a dedicated military career, he retired from the Air Force and continued to apply his strong work ethic and leadership as a plant manager for Harland Printing.
On June 28, 1959, JB married the love of his life, Ruth Uttermark, with whom he shared many cherished years until her passing on December 7, 2018. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Through his military service, JB and his family had the opportunity to live all over the world, eventually settling in Norman, Oklahoma, where he became a valued member of the community and attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
Known for his sharp wit and generous spirit, JB was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a remarkable sense of humor and was widely regarded as a funny and kind-hearted man who could bring a smile to anyone’s face. His loyalty and dedication to his work and family were second to none. JB's favorite color was blue, a reflection of his calm and steadfast nature. He took great joy in teasing those around him, a playful trait that endeared him to all who knew him. JB will be remembered as a hardworking, loyal, and generous man who touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
JB is survived by his loving children: John B. Turcotte III and spouse Nancy of Norman; Renee Broceus and her spouse Doug of Norman; and LisaAnn Waggoner and her spouse Frank of Norman. He was a proud grandfather to Ashley Turcotte, Jarrod Broceus, Nicole Broceus, Paige Mutz and her spouse Seth, Dakota Waggoner and his spouse Julie. He also leaves behind his cherished great-grandchildren: Baily Turcotte, Lucas Mutz, Kayden Mutz, Ryan Mutz, Paisley Mutz, Cooper Mutz, Ryan Waggoner, and David Waggoner. In addition to his immediate family, JB is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
He is predeceased by his parents, John Sr. and Amanda; his beloved wife, Ruth; his brother, Leroy, and his spouse Pattie; and his sister, Deanna, and her spouse Sandy.
