He was born on May 19, 1947 in Oklahoma City to Mrs. Don V. and Mr. Razzie L. Richardson.
Kirk began work as a surveyor and went on to become the Head Surveyor of the City of Norman, a job he did proudly for over 40 years. He graduated from Oklahoma State University earning his Bachelor’s Degree. He earned Phi Theta Kappa Honors.
He served his country joining the United States Army and touring Vietnam. After returning home, Kirk married Diana Richardson on September 11, 1972.
Kirk enjoyed woodworking, watching sports, travel, and he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Diana Richardson, Charis Bassett, Chad Richardson, Jason Richardson, and Josh Richardson.
Left to cherish his precious memory are his daughter Amy Richardson, his sister Milan James, his grandchildren: Amanda Taylor Richardson, Joshua Edward Richardson, Corissa Shepherd, Tyler James, and Breeanna James, as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Graveside service is Friday, July 29, 2022 10:00AM at Norman IOOF Cemetery.
