Kyle Hubert McGirt was born September 4, 1986 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed in his home on April 20, 2021 in Norman, Okahoma. Kyle is survived by his father, Lance McGirt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; mother and stepfather, Tia and Leon Scalf of Altus, Oklahoma; children, Hayden (15) and Amelia (10) McGirt, both of Norman, Oklahoma; stepbrother, Justin Scalf of Altus, Oklahoma; stepsister Tiffany Harvey and her husband Josh Harvey of Houston, Texas; two nephews, Heath and Hunter Harvey of Houston, Texas; grandmother, Eveline Scalf of Altus, Oklahoma; grandfather, Hubert Pearson of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends. Kyle graduated from Madill High School in 2005 and was employed by the University of Oklahoma in the Landscaping and irrigation department for many years. He loved his job and the work he did. He considered all of his coworkers to be family. Kyle had a personality that could fill the entire room. He made an impact on every person he met. Kyle loved living life to the fullest and experiencing anything new. His children and music were his passion. He loved listening to and finding new music. He loved playing guitar and attending any concert he could. Golfing and fishing were his favorite things to do, especially with his children and family. The most important thing to Kyle were his children and family. They meant the world to him, especially his mother Tia. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone in any way that he could. Kyle was a special soul that will forever be loved by many and missed by all. Boom Boom Squad forever and always. A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, April 23rd from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Primrose Funeral Service. Online condolences can be made to the family at

Man...there’s not very many of my childhood memories that I cant see your smiling face in. Cody, Shawn and Kyle....MY 3 stooges. It hurt seeing this. Like the shook it’ll have on many I know. Whatever happened...YOU SIR ARE A GEM!!! RIP my dear sweet friend.

I haven't known Kyle for a very long time, but I can say he was always happy and smiling. Every time he saw me or messaged me he would say "There's a pretty lady!" Always made me smile. You will be very missed, my sweet sweet friend❣️❣️❣️
