He was born July 15, 1968 to Jerri Starr-Helm in Hobart, Oklahoma. Upon graduating from Yukon High School Lance served his country in the United States Army Reserve. He then went on to Oklahoma City University to study computers. After graduation he worked as an independent contractor for the state of Oklahoma with specialized skills in Oracle database software. When Lance was not working he could be found fishing, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys or at Yukon Football games. He was a fantastic handyman and loved woodworking.
Survivors include his mother: Jerri (Bob) Helm of Norman; sisters: Shelley (Brian) Loughrin of Tampa Florida, Sherri Carver of Oklahoma City; nephews: Garrett and Alex Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Juanita Jenkins and Johnnie Ray Starr.
Memorial Service will be held at 2pm Thursday July 16, 2015 at United Methodist Church of The Good Shepherd, 10928 SW 15th St. Yukon, OK.
