Linda Fawn Cronkhite, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 75. While her family’s hearts are broken by her loss, they are grateful for the love, strength, and countless memories she leaves behind.
Linda was born on June 6, 1950, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to James Kimble Edgeman and Rosa Lee Calvert Edgeman. She was a woman who loved deeply, worked hard, and devoted herself completely to her family, friends, and the causes she believed in.
On December 20, 1979, Linda married the love of her life, David Frank Cronkhite. Together they built a life centered on family, loyalty, and love. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, Meme, sister, and friend, and she never missed an opportunity to support those she cared about.
For much of her career, Linda worked as an Accounting Manager in the oil and gas industry. She was respected for her strong work ethic and dedication, but her greatest accomplishments were found outside the office. She spent many years coaching her children and grandchildren in softball and baseball, sharing not only her love of the game but also lessons about hard work, determination, and teamwork. One of her proudest achievements was coaching her 18-and-under boys softball team to the World Championships.
Linda enjoyed painting, crafts, gardening, dancing, and listening to 50s rock and roll and classic country music. She especially loved spending time with her family, caring for her animals, and being outdoors. Her dogs, cat, and horses brought her great joy and were considered part of the family.
In recent years, Linda became active in advocating for parental rights through Make Oklahoma Healthy Again PAC, where she served as one of the organization’s captains. She was passionate about helping others and was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in.
Linda had a way of making people feel loved and supported. She taught her family how to be strong while still being kind and compassionate. She gave her whole heart to everything she did and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Kimble Edgeman and Rosa Lee Edgeman; her brothers Terry Edgeman and Darrell Edgeman; and her grandson, James Kimble Edgeman Tweten.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, David Frank Cronkhite; her children, Shayna Lowder and husband Jack of Yukon, Oklahoma; Shawn Tweten of Buffalo, Missouri; William Tweten and wife Joy of Harrah, Oklahoma; Barbie Martin and husband Glenn of Norman, Oklahoma; and Michael Cronkhite and wife Lindy of Springfield, Missouri.
She is also survived by her siblings Rod Edgeman of Springfield, Missouri, Donnie Edgeman of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, and Darlene Edgeman of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren Lynn Allen and wife Mandy, Brittney Morrison, Kristin Barker and Kenny, Alania Elliott and husband Korey, Johnny Barker, Tionah Cahow and husband Dakota, Taylor Tweten, Dustin Tweten, Lacey Tweten, William Tweten, Sydney Smith, Allie Tweten, Crew Cronkhite and Poppy Cronkhite; 15 great-grandchildren; many extended family members and friends; and her beloved pets- dogs Schnitzel, Muttley, and Precious; her cat, Ghost; and her horses Kaos, Dream, Copper Top, Shamus, and Little Bit.
Linda will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, and the love she shared so freely. She loved her family fiercely, cared deeply for others, and always gave her best to everything she did. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
