Linda LaVelle (Nease) Suttle passed on March 11, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

Linda was born in Stratford, Oklahoma on June 23, 1941 to Andrew Lee and Laverne K. (Lowden) Nease. Linda graduated high school in Shawnee in the late 1950s, after high school she married her husband of 50 years, Richard “Bear” Suttle. The couple met in Shawnee at Van’s Pig Stand, where they had their first date.

The couple married in February of 1963 and they moved to Norman. Once in Norman Linda enjoyed decorating the interiors of the homes that Bear would build. The couple welcomed their daughter Cindy into the world in January of 1967.

Linda was a very family oriented woman, devoting her time to her grandson, she also enjoyed gardening, baking, and joking around with her daughter. She was known to always have chocolate cake or fresh bread at her home. You couldn’t visit without being offered something, whether it be an iced tea or a slice of cake. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Left to cherish her precious memory is her daughter Cindy and husband Jim Testerman, her grandson James Testerman, and her brothers: Ronald and wife Karen Nease, and Stan and wife Ann Nease.

Linda was our neighbor for almost 12 years. She was always happy, generous and eager to help. We will miss her so much. She was a very special lady and we loved her.

My Aunt Ninny was so loving and kind to me. Her hugs were the best. I can still hear talking to me in that sweet, silly voice she would use. It warms my heart. I love her so much. I am so happy she is with the love of her life now. She is complete again. I am comforted knowing that I will see my Aunt Ninny and Uncle Dick again. Hopefully he won’t tickle me until I pee myself!!
