Margaret Ruth Polson of Norman, OK passed away peacefully August 20th, 2010. She was born April 24th, 1924 in Gunter, Texas. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents James and Lillie Murphree, husband Ross and daughter Glenda Hames. She is survived by her sister Francis Strother of Nederland Texas, daughter Sandy Lewis and husband Larry; granddaughters Carri Hames, Lindsay Lewis and grandsons Derek Hames, Brandon Lewis; great-grandsons Landon and Ross, and great-granddaughter Maddie.
Ruth was proud of her children and grandchildren and was very active in each of their lives. She loved to garden, sew, knit and cook for everyone. She also worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and housewife. Ruth will be missed dearly and loved by all.
We will celebrate her life Tuesday August 24th, 2010 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Norman, interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Viewing for Ruth will be Sunday August 22nd, 2010 from 2:00pm – 9:00pm and Monday August 23rd, 2010 from 8:00am- 9:00pm at Primrose Funeral Home at 1109 North Porter Ave. Norman Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Arrangements under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, OK.
