Marion Lusch Bachrach

Marion Lusch Bachrach, 76, of Norman, OK, passed away on September 8, 2024, at Grace Living Center, Norman, OK. She was born on February 25, 1948, to Frank and Katharina (Muller) Lusch in Michigan. In 1960, she moved with her family to Tucson, AZ. She was a 1967 graduate of Tucson High School. In 1970, she married William Arnold Omann and in 1972 they welcomed a son, William “Bill” Omann. In 1979, Marion and her son moved to Norman, OK, beginning Marion’s time in the place that quickly became her home. In 1984, Marion married Orin Bachrach of Norman, OK. During her time in Norman, Marion worked at several businesses including Schwartz Meat Company, Stop-n-Go Video, Armstrong Relocation, Multimedia Games, and Newcastle Gaming Center.

At work, especially at Stop-n-Go Video, is where Marion made many of her life-long friends. She had a huge heart, and her co-workers always knew they could come to her in good times and in bad. As a result, she became “mom” and they her “kids.” She would always make sure her “kids” had a meal or a place to stay if they needed but she also was not afraid to let them hear the truth when they needed it as well. Of all Marion’s amazing qualities, there is no doubt that everyone will always remember her willingness to help a friend or family member in need, even if she did not actually have the time or money to do so. She loved everyone and touched so many with the love she gave. “Oma” to her grandchildren and many more, “Aunt Mimi” to her nephews, “MOM” to so many and a true friend to the end.

Marion is survived by her son, William “Bill” Omann (and husband Richard) of Oklahoma City, OK; three step-daughters, Bernadette Soap, Hilary Kane and Cassandra Bachrach; 14 grandchildren, Haleigh Donovan, Lorea Donovan, Sarah Vickrey, Dietrich Kane, Dylan Sanders, Malachi Soap, Sebastian Soap, Symone Soap, Gabrielle Soap, Olivia Soap, Alysia Soap, Kianna Soap and Jayden Bell; her sister, Nancy Leubner (and husband Jim); her sister-in-law, Virginia Lusch; her three nephews, Stephen Lusch (and wife Samantha), Mark Lusch (and wife Katie), and Andrew Leubner (and wife Sarah); and her one niece, Heather Ford (and husband Bob). She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Stephen Lusch, her mother, Katharina (Muller) Lusch, and her brother, Robert Frank Lusch.

A celebration of life will be held on September 28, 2024 at 2PM located at the Hallbrooke Community Clubhouse, 2110 Hallbrooke Drive, Norman OK 73071.
