She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1949. She attended Hills School of Business in Oklahoma City. She learned sign language and was very proficient at it. She was also good at playing piano. On October 10, 1951, she married the love of her life Cecil Edward Berger at her parent’s home in Sulphur. After marrying, she and her husband traveled extensively due to his job. In 1961 they moved to Norman and lived there ever since. Her greatest accomplishment and pride in her life was the birth of her only child, Cecil E. Berger Jr. She loved to fish, garden and cook.
She is survived by her son Cecil E. Berger Jr. and his wife Alma of Norman and brother Sam Denton of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Berger, parents Alfred and Bessie Denton and brother, A.M. Denton Jr.
