

He was born January 25, 1934 in Eufaula, OK to Milam Malone King, Sr. and Tishie Montgomery King. On December 26, 1955 he married Lou Etta Castleberry.
Milam graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern State College in Durant, OK. After graduation he served his country in the United States Army. He then earned his Master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. Milam taught high school, history, economics and geography for over 30 years starting out at Star-Spencer High School, and retiring from Corpus Christi, TX. After retirement he and his wife moved up to Norman to be closer to family. Milam loved to visit and spend time with people; he was the epitome of a “people person” He loved cheering on his Sooners during football and men and women’s basketball. Above all he loved spending time with his family, they will greatly miss him and all the fond memories of road tripping and camping thru the 48 continental United States and the cruises to Hawaii and Alaska.
Survivors include his wife Lou of Almost 61 years; children: David (Donna) King of Claremore, OK Sandra (Jerry) Boger of Norman; grandchildren: Kevin King of Plano, TX, Ryan King of Claremore, OK; dog-child: Daisy; grand-dogs: Sammy, Bogie and Max; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: John King; brother: John King; sister: June Son.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday October 23 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, OK. Visitation will continue from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday October 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Norman. Rev. Wade Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
