Nina attended high school in Pattonsburg, Missouri and graduated in the mid-1940s.
After high school, Nina moved to Kansas City, Missouri and worked at Sears until 1949 when she married the love of her life Don “Pat” Patterson. The couple moved all over, they started in California, then went to Alberta, Canada, then to South Africa, and then coming back to the United States. Nina lived everywhere between Maine and California, and Louisiana and Minnesota, moving almost every year.
Nina enjoyed her volunteer work at Norman Regional, which she did for over 20 years. She was great at sewing, and was known for her peanut butter fudge which she made while babysitting her grandkids, she was also very good at shooting trap and skeet with her husband and boys.
Nina is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, and her sisters: Evelyn Kolar, Tootie Wingo, Wanda Clark, and her brother C.A. Curtis.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her sons: Garra Patterson, and David and wife Debbie Patterson, her grandchildren Craig Patterson, and Catie Overton and husband Dustin Overton, her great-grand child Sage Overton, her brother Victor and wife Carolyn Curtis and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Nina’s visitation will be Thursday 03/12/2020 from 5pm to 8pm at Primrose Funeral Service. Her funeral service will be Friday 03/13/2020 at 11am at Primrose Funeral Service, burial will follow at Norman IOOF Cemetery.
