

Pearla Maud Allison, of Norman Oklahoma, peacefully passed away at the age of 95. Pearla was born to Maynard Charles Haskell and Doris Maud Friend on September 8, 1928, in Blue Hill, Maine. Pearla lived in Maine before making the move to Oklahoma. In the early 90s she decided to move back to Maine to take care of her mother. In 2008, she made the move back home to Norman and has been here since.
Pearla loved the color purple, old country and gospel music, along with spending lots of time with her family and going antique shopping. She was always laughing at silly things and would teach those around her how to sew, crochet and travel. Pearla wants to be remembered as a woman who did what she wanted and lived life to the fullest. Her perfect day was spent with family, no matter what the plans were.
Pearla was a member at the Methodist Church in Norman and the Baptist Church in Maine. She was also a member of the Silver Spurs Square Dance group for 15 years. Pearla spent 48 years with the love of her life, Donald H. Allison. They were married on August 10, 1951, and raised 3 beautiful children together.
Pearla is preceded in death by her parents; Maynard and Doris Haskell, loving husband; Donald Allison, daughter; Cheryl Holland, son in law; Roger Gunter, grandchildren; James D. Allison, Rebecca A. Allison and Timothy DeArman, brothers; Maynard C. Haskell (Lucille), Burton Haskell (Beatrice), Alphose Haskell, and sister; Belva Bunt (Bob).
Pearla is survived by her children; James C. Allison, of Norman Oklahoma, and Dawn Gunter of Wiggins Mississippi, son in law; Jim Holland, of Norman Oklahoma, sister in law; Lynn Haskell, of Bangor, Maine, as well as 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
