It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Worden Mohesky, who left us peacefully on September 24, 2025, at the age of 75 in Norman, OK. She was a wonderful mother, a loving sister, and a grateful daughter. She was a witty and generous woman to all who knew her.
Randy Mohesky was born on July 4, 1950, to Gerald Crawford and Cora Mae Adams. From an early age, she was known for her independence and strong personality. She married Mark Allan Worden in 1969, with whom she had Stephanie Worden in Hico, Texas, where they were raising cattle. They divorced four years later, and Randy stayed single until 1990, when she found her next love, Mike Mohesky. They built a life of traveling, working in their garden, enjoying their pets, and sitting in the backyard until his death in 2002.
Later, she and Stephanie traveled to Ruidoso, NM, to visit her mom, Cora Mae, to gamble, shop, and taste wine. Randy stayed in Odessa until 2016 when she retired and then moved to Norman, OK, to be with her daughter. Randy loved going to the casinos weekly with her friends, Fred and Sherrie, and the Friday evening happy hour and dinner at Chili's with everyone there who loved her like a mother.
Randy could often be found in the backyard feeding the birds (and of course, squirrels!) and tending to yard work. Those days gave her so much enjoyment and peace. She loved getting up early in the morning, opening the curtains to let the sunshine in, feeding her fur-babies Sassy and Queenie, and getting ready for the casino, relaxing and enjoying playing Words with Friends, or catching up with family and friends on Facebook. She enjoyed her weekly phone calls with her sister and mom, staying in touch with them back in Odessa.
Randy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Worden; her sister, Leann Bongiorno; her mom, Cora Mae Adams; her niece, Randi Bongiorno; and a host of cousins in Texas and dear friends who loved her so much. She is preceded in death by her dad, Gerald Crawford Adams, and her husband, Mike Mohesky.
Everyone who knew Randy knew her for her hard work ethic and her caring nature toward others. She always took Stephanie's friends in as her "adopted" girls and always called herself "Gran Gran." Randy touched countless lives with her warmth, open arms, loving nature, and funny personality. She loved spontaneously, was touched by others' actions, and appreciated kindness shown toward her. Randy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
