Raymond Sullivan was born on August 3, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Dan Claimen Sullivan and Frankie Karanona McAdams. Raised in Oklahoma, Raymond was a proud son who lived a life marked by deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones.
He graduated from Carl Albert High School, where he stood out as a talented football player. In the 1990s, he worked on the set of the movie “Leap of Faith,” a unique and memorable experience that reflected his strength and work ethic. Known for having the strength of ten men, Raymond was always ready to lend a helping hand, often giving freely without ever expecting anything in return.
Raymond’s love for music was as big as his heart. While he especially enjoyed country and gospel, he appreciated a little bit of everything. His favorite color was blue, and he loved nothing more than watching a good football game, especially when his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys took to the field, and taking advantage of every moment spent surrounded by family. Making his grandchildren laugh was one of his greatest joys, and he considered his children and grandchildren his proudest accomplishments.
More than anything, Raymond’s life was defined by his relationship with God. He loved the Lord with all his heart and strived to live out that faith in his daily life. He had the biggest, most forgiving heart and would want to be remembered as someone who loved deeply, gave selflessly, and stood as a living testimony of God’s grace. He taught everyone around him what it meant to serve others and trust in God completely.
Raymond had a deep and enduring love for his family, especially his mother, his siblings, his uncle Steve, and his beloved children and grandchildren. Today, he is exactly where he always longed to be, resting peacefully in his mama’s arms.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Karanona McAdams, uncle Steve and undeniable by his Heavenly Father.
He is survived by his father: Dan Claimen Sullivan, his children: Jordan Sullivan of San Antonio, TX, Hunter Duane Sullivan of Midwest City, Kiersten Kayleen Sullivan of Midwest City, and Brittany Nichole Grimes of Blanchard. He is also survived by his siblings: Danny Sullivan and his spouse Terrie of Mesa, Arizona; Barry Snake and his spouse Pam of Pell City, Alabama; Gerald Snake of Midwest City; Stewart Snake and his spouse Tyann of Del City; Brandi Lewis and her spouse Chuck of Oklahoma City; Amber Snake and her spouse Scott Roden of Newalla; Julia Horn and her spouse Jimmy of Shawnee; and Yolanda Cullison and her spouse Chris of Shawnee. He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Brooklynn, Braylie, Ezra and Kennedi, eleven nieces, and six nephews.
A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 2:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel.
Raymond Sullivan will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love, laughter, and unshakable faith will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
