Reginald Cartez Peters of Norman, Oklahoma was born to Cesar Peters Sr and Ruby L Peters in Oklahoma City, Ok. Reggie grew up and attended school in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He was active in school and summer sports. Reggie spent his last years of school in Norman public schools were he graduated in 1976 as a star athlete in football and track. Reggie continued football at Texas Southern University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, before a knee injury ended his football dreams.
He was always there to help his family or anyone that he could, with whatever was needed, be it car repairs or carpentry work until his health wouldn’t allow him. Reggie’s love for his family was immense. During his 61 years of life he’s owned a janitorial business, worked as an engineer for Marriott and trained horses at Remington Park, he even had a love for photography.
Reginald departed this life on Sunday, December 15 after fighting hard with cancer.
He leaves his memories to wife Felicia Cook-Peters, son Jonathan C Peters , grandkids: Janessa Ellison, Noah Wright, Levi Nolan, True Cortez Peters, Cattleya Amora Peters. Siblings: Tony Peters, Terry Peters (Arva), Regina Stewart (Dennis), Karl Peters (Jana), Charles Joe Bray (Alavan), Nicole Peters-Humes and sister-in-law Trever Peters, MIL Rosa Cook, one aunt, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Reggie in death, are his parents, sisters Alma Poe, LaVonda Peters, brothers Harold, Dwight, C Jr., Ronnie Peters and sisters in-law Betty Sue and Jewel Peters, grandmothers Girtha Norwood and Mary Peters, Great-grandmother Beatrice Price, grandfather Brown Peters, aunts and uncles, one niece and two nephews.
