

Services will be Saturday, April 16 at 10 am at Primrose Funeral Service in Norman with Rev. John Gifford officiating; Rev. David Moore and Rev. Fred Hambrick assisting.
Robert was born on November 6, 1952, in Oklahoma City to Betty Jo and Richard L. Draper.
He married Claudia Hough of Norman on April 14, 1973. They were only a few days from celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary.
Robert graduated Norman High School in 1971. From 1972-2007 he was employed by York International, starting in sheet metal and with an additional lengthy tool & die program, became a respected tool & die maker. Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend. Robert never met a stranger. He loved to talk and tell stories and loved the country life, raising cattle from which he learned from his father. He loved spending time with his daughters and teaching his daughters the simple country ways and how to appreciate its value.
Over the years he enjoyed hunting, softball, basketball, watching OU football, fishing, camping, carpentry, gardening, singing, and serving others. He loved the people of Franklin Community and the members of Franklin Baptist Church, where he and his wife attended together. It was also the church where he was raised.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Draper; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Kenneth Fullwood of Pittsburgh, PA.; daughter and son-in-law, Kendra and Nathan Charlton of Norman; mother, Betty Jo Draper of Norman; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Angela Draper of Norman; and brother, Roy Draper of Norman; sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Lynn Simpson of Norman; and many special friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Draper and his grandparents, Vernon and Bettie Draper of Spiro; and Horton and Ida Ellis of Wilburton.
