

During her life, Ruby worked as a professional cook for both Norman Public Schools and the University of Oklahoma for 28 years. She had also been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1945. Ruby loved cooking, canning, and gardening. She even had photos of her yard featured in the Norman Transcript on more than one occasion.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 61 years, Travis E. Sullivan; daughter, Carolyn June Lee; granddaughters, Debbie Gregg and Kathy Turnpaugh; brothers, Fay, Ray, and JW Bettes; and sisters, Lorene O’Neal and Frieda Cox. She leaves behind her son, Don Sullivan; grandchildren, Donna Akerman and husband Mickey of Konawa, and Ted Geyer and wife Jennifer of Lexington; 11 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; sister, Nadine Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday 8am -8pm and Sunday 12pm-8pm. Funeral ceremony will be held 2pm Monday, April 13 at Immanuel Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Noble IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service.
