Ruth was born on March 2, 1941 in Hennepin, Oklahoma to Arthur Manuel Jones and Bertha Lee Hudson Jones. Ruth was a bookkeeper and worked for several companies over 20 years in Oklahoma and Arkansas. She eventually moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 1983 where she lived for 38 years. She was a long-time member of the Rogers First Church of the Nazarene and also attended/supported Rogers Freewill Baptist Church and Oklahoma City Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
Ruth was not one to seek attention and preferred to be behind the scenes. She was a strong Christian and devoted to Jesus Christ. She found the silver lining in every cloud, and lived what the Apostle Paul wrote about in Philippians 4:10 “…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” Her contentedness endeared her to everyone who cared for her during her last few years. When the family asked if she needed anything during her time in long-term care, she always responded with, “God is taking care of me. Look, I have food. I have a bed. I have clothes. I have my Bible, and I have Jesus. I have all I need.” She approached life with a positive attitude and when faced with tough circumstances, she often said, “My mom taught me you could always find something to laugh about.” She loved the color red and enjoyed the many red items that her family brought her over the years.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth H. Kinnamon Jr. to whom she was married for 56 years; her parents; two sisters, Martha Jones and Ann Jones; and one brother, Paul Jones.
She is survived by one daughter, Beth Agee and husband, Mike, of Rapid City, South Dakota, and their children Anna, William, and Elizabeth; one son, Bill Kinnamon and wife, Melanie, of Norman, Oklahoma, and their children Amanda, Andrew, Ashlyn, and Kaelyn; two sisters, Edith Johnson of Dallas, Texas and Charli Meador of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; two brothers, James Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Tim Jones of Mustang, Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
