Sharon Lucille Waters of Norman passed away on November 24, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born on May 14, 1950, in Riverdale, Maryland, to Edward John Waters and Elizabeth Mary (Nilo) Waters. Because her father was a career Navy serviceman, Sharon spent her childhood moving to various states across the country before the family settled in Oklahoma following his retirement.
Sharon graduated from Waipahu High School in Waipahu, Hawaii, in 1968 and later attended the University of Oklahoma. She went on to own and operate her own housekeeping business for several years, taking pride in her work and in the relationships she built with others along the way.
Sharon loved classical music and movie soundtracks, often filling her home with the melodies she treasured. She enjoyed reading, caring for her cats, and spending time studying the Bible and reading about theology. Her faith was central to her life, and she hoped to be remembered as a good person who loved Jesus Christ.
Sharon is survived by her siblings, Anne Black and her spouse Greg of Grand Junction, Colorado; Joyce Collard of Norman; Stephen C. Waters of Norman; James Michael Waters and his spouse Lucy Anne of Norman; and Ronnie Paul Waters of Norman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Waters, and her brother, Robert Waters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Primrose Funeral Service Original Chapel, located at 1109 N Porter Ave, Norman, OK, 73071, on December 5, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
