

She was born on January 14, 1947, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Wayne and Vera Fallgatter. Sonya grew up in Tulsa, with her brother, Curtis Scott Fallgatter, who was one year younger and always very special to her.
She received her B.A. and MBA from OU, taught high school German a year in Kansas, and then worked at OU for 40 years, in three departments, the longest being in the Faculty Senate, where she met incredible faculty and made lasting friendships. When she retired, they named the Faculty Senate office after her.
Sonya and her best friend and husband, Gary Wullich, enjoyed traveling, gardening and attending sporting events, concerts, and other activities. She was on the board and/or a member of the Master Gardener’s Association, OU Retirees Association, University Women’s Association, and two book clubs. She also attended many Osher Lifelong Learning Institute classes.
Sonya was proceeded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, Carl Wullich and Kurt Wullich. She is survived by her husband, Gary Wullich; brother Curtis (Jackie) Fallgatter and their children Colby (Joe Roberts) and Kyle (Laura) Fallgatter; nine great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins and friends; brothers-in-law, CW Wullich, Eric Wullich John (Debbie) Wullich; nieces Dara (Travis) Rice and her family, Darcie (Luke) McCabe and her family, Desiree Wullich (Matt Harvey) and her family, along with many loving and supportive friends, who made her life all the more rewarding. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Sonya’s life will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 2:00 PM at Primrose Chapel. A reception will follow at the funeral home in the Event Center.
