It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven Conner, who embarked on his final adventure on September 14, 2025. Born on February 27, 1983, Steven was a beloved dad, husband, brother, and friend, whose spirit of creativity and joy touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
A true adventurer at heart, Steven found his passion in the realms of Dungeons & Dragons, where he loved playing as both a cleric and a wizard. As a cleric, he was a beacon of hope and healing, guiding his party through perilous quests with unwavering faith and compassion. As a wizard, he dazzled his friends with inventive spells and clever strategies, often delighting in casting Shillelagh to tease those around him, eliciting laughter and joy at the gaming table. But it was his notorious penchant for casting Fireball in the smallest possible rooms that truly defined his playful spirit. He reveled in the chaos and laughter that ensued, often in the mischievous mayhem he created at the gaming table. His campaigns were filled with epic tales, unforgettable moments, and the magic of friendship.
In addition to his tabletop adventures, Steven was a passionate player of Magic: The Gathering. He approached each match with enthusiasm and strategy, fostering connections and friendships through the game. His love for both D&D and Magic brought family and friends together, creating a community grounded in shared experiences and laughter.
Steven is now reunited with his beloved mother, Jewel Conner (Pickett), and his father, Michael Conner. He is survived by his devoted wife Francesca Murch, and his cherished children: Gabrielle Green, Jacquelyn Gregory and Husband Zachary, Zachariah Murch and wife Tiarne, and Jeremiah Murch and wife Mira. He was also a proud Big Papa to his grandsons, Jesse and Grayson. Additionally, Steven is survived by his brothers, Curtis Conner and wife Michele, and Byron Conner, along with many other loving family members and friends.
As we gather to celebrate Steven’s life, we invite all who knew him to share their favorite memories and stories—just as he would have wanted. Let us honor his legacy by rolling the dice in his name and embarking on new quests that reflect the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.
Rest in peace, Steven Conner. Your journey continues in the realms beyond, where new adventures await, and your legacy of magic and joy will never fade.
