Sandra Sue "Susie" Sucher, 73, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away on November 1, 2026. She was born April 3, 1953, to Bluford and Lola Doss, and took great pride in being the oldest of their five children.
A resident of Tuttle nearly all her life, Susie graduated from Tuttle High School and went on to become one of the first paramedics in Tuttle along with various healthcare positions. She later worked for many years in the cafeterias at US Grant High School and Capitol Hill High School, where her cinnamon rolls were her favorite thing to make and, no doubt, a favorite of the students too. Cooking was one of her great joys. She especially loved spending time with friends canning and preserving the harvest from their gardens.
Susie loved being outdoors, especially when she had a fishing pole in hand. But nothing meant more to her than her family. She loved spending time with them and was a faithful supporter of her nieces and nephews, cheering them on in all their activities. To everyone who knew her, related by blood or not, she was always "Aunt Susie."
For the last 40 years, Susie lived in the same house. Neighbors came and went, but she remained a fixture of the neighborhood, always ready to share a story about one of the neighbor kids stopping by or a friendly neighbor helping out. With her big heart and generous nature, Susie was always the first to lend a hand.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bluford and Lola Doss; her brother, Richard Doss; and her sister, Melinda Henderson.
She is survived by her sisters, JoAnn Hames and Dawna Patterson; her nieces and nephews, Vicki (David) Allred, Scott Hames, Brent (Abby) Patterson, Jessica Kinney, Kaylie (Keegan) Murphy, Brock Henderson and Chasity Henderson; along with nine great-nieces and and nephews, four great-great nieces and nephews, neighbors and longtime friends.
Susie will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be at 9am prior to the service on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church.
