Travis Don Sullivan, 72, of Norman passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospital in Shawnee, OK.

He was born July 5, 1946 in Norman to Travis and Ruby Sullivan.

Travis attended OU and loved to cheer on his OU Sooners for football. He was a craftsman and loved to do leather and wood work. He retired after many years of working off shore on oilrigs; he enjoyed his travels with work. Above all, he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his niece and nephew: Donna and husband Mickey Akerman of Konawa, Ted and wife Jennifer Geyer of Lexington; great nieces and nephews: Amanda and husband Kody Abbott of Little Axe, Kristen Akerman of Sulphur, Brian Akerman of Konawa, Amber Ruiz and Tony Nichel of Moore, Austin and wife Denny Geyer of Norman, Lindsey and husband Casey Wise of Oklahoma City, Hayliegh and husband Shawn Fowler of Iowa, Michael Turnpaugh of Midwest City, Sarah Turnpaugh of Midwest City, Travis Gregg of Asher, Tommy and wife Amy Gregg of Asher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Carolyn Lee; two nieces: Debbie Gregg and Kathy Turnpaugh; great-niece: Becky O’Dell.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday November 6th, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Norman, OK. Inurnment will follow at Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Noble, OK.

This saddens my heart. I helped take care of Don through a home health agency. I loved his stories, and we shared many. He always asked about my family, and checked up on me even after I was no longer his nurse. He was a great guy and will be missed. RIP Don
