Turner Odies Primrose, age 85, of Norman, OK went to be with Jesus Sunday, April 22, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. His memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 25th at 2PM at Primrose Funeral Service. Turner is survived by his wife, Marcene Primrose, of 58 years and his four children: Angela Crews, Deborah Kosmont, Ken Primrose, and Julie Kerckhoff.
Turner attended Norman High School, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Oklahoma Law School before beginning his private law practice. He was honored by the Oklahoma Bar Association for 50 years of active service and was one of the first Immigration Attorneys in Oklahoma. Turner was an active church member throughout his life and participated in the Baptist Student Union while at OU. He loved adventure, travel and climbed Mt. Rainer to celebrate his 40th birthday. He was diligent, faithful, and tenacious in carrying out his convictions.
He was a loving husband and father, creative and unique in his perspective and way of life. He loved God and loved the Bible. Many people attribute significant moments in their lives to Turner’s mentoring and encouraging.
Turner believed that a life well-lived was a life built around the truth of who God is, and ended his time on earth faithful to his pursuit of pleasing God. He will be well-loved, and missed by friends and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Baptist Collegiate Ministries at OU or to CRM, the mission organization of which Turner’s son, Ken, is on staff.
