Vivian Jane Jacobson, age 89, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away peacefully February 14, 2025. She was born March 4, 1935,, in Webster County, Iowa. Daughter of Elijah and Lillian Chase. She graduated from Lanyon High School, Iowa in 1953, where she was a star basketball player.
On October 7, 1954, Vivian married Russell E. Jacobson.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; son, Byron; siblings Verna, Virvel, Velma, Vearl, Victor and Vernon; and great grandson Trent Kohout.
She is survived by daughter, Tina Cunningham and spouse John; son, Russell (Rusty) Jacobson and spouse Cheryl; daughter, Nancy Hughes; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jacobson; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Vivian is also survived by her sister Vera Hrabak.
Vivian was a founding member of King of Glory Lutheran Church in Newbury Park, California. She served on multiple church committees and was also a cook for many years for the Newbury Park School district. Vivian always found joy in family, church, travel and volunteering.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 10 AM at Primrose Funeral Service, located at 1109 N Porter Ave., Norman, OK, 73071. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
