

Wallace Ray “Wally” Farrell was born on July 17, 1946, in Norman, Oklahoma. He was the son of Wallace and Betty (Jackson) Farrell. Wally enjoyed a wonderful childhood in Norman with his two siblings and parents. He attended Norman Public Schools and following his education he entered the United States Army servicing two tours in Vietnam one of which he volunteered for. Wally owned Farrell’s Painting Service for over fifteen years serving primarily the Norman area. He loved to travel, collecting many unusual canes in his travels; he also collected wolf artifacts and always wore shirts with wolf emblems. He spent his last years at the Clinton Veterans Center where all the nurses and staff loved him and took extremely good care of him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Michael Farrells; and two brothers, Marvin “Pete” Farrell, and John Akin.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Akin and wife Linda Sue of Atoka, Oklahoma; one sister, Linda Sue of Washington, Oklahoma; and many nephews and nieces who loved him and called him “uncle waffle”.
Private memorial services will be held by the family at a later date.
