Agnes Anna Frey

With deepest sympathy the family announces the passing of Agnes Frey (Nestmann) on March 11, 2011 at her home in rural Battleford, SK. She was born on Nov. 9 1933 in Leipzig, SK. Left to cherish her memory are: her loving husband Tom; their daughter Lois (Edward) Cadrin of Meota, SK; their children Amanda (Birch Hanson) of Martensville, SK; Aaron (Britney Winterhalt) of Meota, SK; Jared of North Battleford, SK; Sons Mark of Saskatoon, SK and Grant of North Battleford; SK; Daughter Laura (Darren) Walsh of Metinota, SK and their daughter Anya; Sister Mary (Matt) Greenwald of Metinota, SK; Brother Henry (Maggie) Nestmann of Wilkie, SK; Sisters in law Isabelle Laschilier and Kay Frey; Brother in law Phil (Doreen) Frey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Mary Nestmann; Sister Helen (John) Cey; Baby brother in infancy; Sister in law Bernie Huber; Brothers in law Emil Huber, Alfred Frey, and Barney Laschilier.

Funeral Mass was held March 17, 2011 at St. Vital Royal Catholic Church in Battleford, SK with Reverend Father Greg Elder as Celebrant. Eulogy was given by Aaron Cadrin, Julie Wagner, and Carrolynn Pernitsky. Music Minisitry was provided by Kathy Swerid as Organist and the St. Vital Sunday Choir. Active Pallbearers were Allan Cey, Vernon Cey, Peter D. Frey, Dennis Frey, Barry Greenwald, Geoff Huber. Interment took place at the Wilkie Cemetery.

Agnes left behind many cherished memories, mainly her smile and her "witty" sense of humour. She will be missed very deeply by all who knew her. "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give," her motto in which she lived by.

The family expresses heartfelt thanks to all who called, visited, donated food, etc. in this difficult time. It was all greatly appreciated.
