I've known Dave and Karen for over ten years. During this time Dave and I shared many rounds of golf and have gone of many golf trips to Las Vegas and BC. Dave was one of the most generous individuals that I knew. Whenever we would get together to golf he would hand me a sleeve of golfballs or offer to give me a putter, fairway wood or wedge from his extensive collection of clubs. Dave had a great sense of humour. I am tall and thin and he would say when we stood together we looked liked the number 10. Dave and I shared so many similarities - golf, cards, food. There was one undeniable truth about Dave - he loved his wife Karen. Karen was Dave's sunshine, universe, life. Dave will be greatly missed. I pray to give Karen the strength to get through this unfathomable tragedy. God bless.

One Word LOVE

Grief never ends...….but it changes. Its a passage, not a place to stay.
Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor alack of faith...…..It is the price of love.

A love that will never leave my heart, you are my everything forever.

love you little girl

"What do you know today?" Dave always greeted me with this question.
I know I am really going to miss him. He was one of my best friends.
We spent a lot of time having a Tims or playing golf. So when I heard the horrible news I went for a Tims coffee and played golf alone. I reflected on our friendship. I know he was with me because when I hit a ball into the woods I found a Gold Eagle Gas Bar ball instead of mine. Dave would always throw down a Gold Eagle Gas Bar ball when I messed up and lost mine. He was that kind of guy.
Rest in peace Double! We will have a golf game in heaven some day.

Dave and Karen I’ve know long before I started working for him at Gamex. I remember being 7-8 years old and my mom was hosting a community garage sale at the friendship centre and Dave had a Polaroid camera that he noticed I kept coming and picking up and looking at, so he walked over to me after with the Polaroid camera and showed me how to use it as it was my first time seeing an old camera. I’m always going to remember Dave as the guy who could walk into a room and brighten anyone’s day. I’m sure going to miss my days working at gamex and when he’d Always come and cook supper at the gamex and make extra for his staff to eat.❤️

Like so many Dave treated me like a loving brother. He had a heart of gold and he touched so many people with his unfailing kindness. He came into many people's lives for a good reason. His love and compassion for people was unlimited. He was a very beautiful humble man that no one that knew him could say otherwise. He was a lot of fun to be around. I just can't say enough good things about this beautiful man. He's going to be missed by many people.
My condolences to his family and may he Rest in peace.
