IN THE CARE OF
Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home
Our brother David passed away on May 02, 2022 in Cutknife Saskatchewan. David was born in Regina Saskatchewan, the oldest son of the late Dr Campbell Dixon and Aroon Dixon. He was predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Jill Whitmore. He is survived by his sister Jane Mills and brother Dr Chuck Dixon.
David was intelligent, witty, athletic and loved rock n roll. Sadly, in his late teens he was diagnosed with mental illness. He was able to complete a number of university courses until he was incapacitated and hospitalized. As an outpatient he was blessed to find a home in North Battleford, with the wonderful Bell family, Marlene and Percy. He was embraced by their family for over forty years. The last few years he was in the good care of the Cutknife Health Complex.
David continued his love of sports avidly following the Roughriders and the North Battleford North Stars. For many years he would have a round of golf and in winter put on his skates and pass the puck with kids at the rink.
David had a challenging journey but was loved by many and will be remembered as a kind soul. Rest in Peace David.
A memorial is being arranged in North Battleford and internment at Katepwa
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to T’Neale Bosman of Sallows & McDonald~Wilson & Zehner Funeral Home, North Battleford, SK
