Ernest grew up in Paynton and attended school till his 9th grade. He then moved to Saskatoon to further his education. At that time his boarding family were flooring installers. Ernest would help them with the work while attending school. When his boarding family moved to Alaska he went along. This is when Ernest started his lifetime career as a floor installers side. Starting from Saskatoon to Alaska back to our surrounding communities and eventually to Edmonton Alberta.
Ernest met his beloved Agnes in Edmonton. They married and had four children; Carrie, Amanda, Cheryl & Chanse together and adopted four more; Shane, Dallas, Sharlene & Shane which he took as his own. As years went by grandchildren came along. Each grandchild was always the #1 in Ernest’s eyes.
Ernest enjoyed all outdoor life. Camping, fishing, hunting. He also enjoyed being with family and friends.
Ernest had one of a kind sense of humor. He played lots of good hearted tricks with is friends. A kind hearted man who would take his shirt off his back to help with anyone in need.
