Joan Esther Whitford

Joan leaves to mourn her husband Eli Whitford; children George, Cheryl (Darwin) Kasokeo, David (Jodie Kasokeo), and Leanne (Jacob) McLean; grandchildren Josh (Ashley), Justin, Jared (Shania), Shayne, Ember, Cierena, Samual, Brent (Amanda), Trent, Wyatt, Meaghan, Tavyn, Zaccheus, Lyvre, Lyndre, Ceijay, Caleb, Alex, Dante and Tristan; great-grandchildren Drake, Drayden, Khaiden, Julie, Jordan, Malika and Sadie; sisters Rose (Collin) Wills, Lillian Burns, Donna (Chris) McKay, Sandra Burns; brothers James (Wilma) Burns, Frank (Ellise) Burns, Lawrence (Iona) Burns, and Morris (Pearline) Burns; brother in-law Wilbert (Verna) Whitford; sister in-law Audrey Whitford; adopted daughter Maria Jones; adopted brother in-law Gavin (Desiree) Albert; adopted sister Maria Brittain; godchildren Barry Sanderson, Theresa Fox, and Kevin Brown.

Joan is predeceased by her parents George and Margaret Burns; Brother David Burns; sister Viola Ross; and parents’ in-law Phillip and Martha Whitford.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6th 2016 at 1:00 pm from the Sweetgrass Community Centre in Sweetgrass First Nation, Saskatchewan. Interment will follow the service at the Sweetgrass Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Martine de Bussac of Sallows & McDonald-Wilson & Zehner.
