Paul Anderson Checkosis

He was the oldest out of his brothers. They played baseball and hockey. Everyone knew the Checkosis boys. He never owned a vehicle he only owned horses. If he could could right he would. He didn't know how to raise girls so he raised them like the boys. We were as tough as our brothers, we didn't use bandaids we rubbed dirt and got back up. He protected us, taught us how to ride and how to tell tales. He made friends everywhere he went. His favorite story was when he went on a trail ride with Viggo Mortensen (Aragon) from Lord of the Rings. He said "Who is this dummy? Doesn't even know how to ride" until he knew who he was. Ever since then he would say he went on a trail ride with his friend Aragon from Lord of the Rings. We will miss him always, as a dad, a brother, musom, uncle, cousin and as a friend.

A wake for Paul will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Little Pine Band Hall, Little Pine First Nation. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Little Pine Band Hall.

Paul will be laid to rest in Little Pine Cemetery , Little Pine First Nation.

Serving as pallbearers are Kerri Frank, Eddie Standinghorn III, Calvin Morningchild, Quillon Nighttraveller, Token Paul and Dez Checkosis.
