Roy...it seems like yesterday when I first met you, but it feels like forever since you have been gone.

I first met Roy well being assistant director for production of Jesus Christ superstar in Red Deer. Roy was a generous person with a great degree of musical talent ...I had lost track of him over the years and was very sorry to learn of his passing. My condolences to his friends and family. The world truly has lost a great musical voice.

My condolences to the entire Kanhai family.  I met Roy in the winter of 1977 when I moved from NB.  I had the honor of living and spending the best two years of my life with Roy and Charles in Saskatoon and Red Deer.  I was very saddened this week when I found out he had passed.  

His charm and charisma was noticed by everyone around him.  His voice was angelic.  I know he is in a much more wonder place today and I look forward to the day when I can meet him again.

Over the years I lost touch with Roy. Only seeing him on occasion sharing few words. Seeing the response of his passing on those who knew him, reminded me of who he was and the person I missed out on knowing better. A fortunate phone call to Roy just before his passing was the very last contact. It was a warm conversation. He asked for prayer. A heart felt prayer was sent up; and a decision was made. He is no longer with us. All of the kind words, and condolence, have reacquainted me with my big brother. Thanks all of you and may Roy rest in peace.

I will remember Roy from doing karaoke at the Lac La Biche Bowling ally. He made my 30th birthday a good one. We had some good laughs that night and we enjoyed watching you sing to your wife.

Although I didn't know Roy well. I have heard many great things about him and how he touched many people. He will be remembered by my husband and I by his great singing and stage presence. You are in our prayers :)

It broke my heart to hear of Roy's passing. He was such a sweet and kind man. Always willing to give a big hug and advice when I needed it. Had a lot of heart to hearts with this man. Heaven has gained a truly talented, inspirational and blessed man. You will be dearly missed Roy. Sing on high with the angels now.

Rock on roy, rock on...... no one on earth could sing "mustang Sally" the way you did. An inspirational teacher, a dear friend, a devoted, loving husband and father, we will keep your memory alive through all of us who loved you dearly..... I'll be seeing you......

I`ve met Roy many years ago in Lloyd...He will be sadly missed but left us a lot of  good memories with his ability to entertain and teach our people.

Much respect to this man. I didn't know him well but I have known his family and brothers for many many years. Gifted, charismatic, out going & dynamic, tender and forgiving. Just a few words I can think of to what would describe the character of this man based on my experience of having had long standing friendships with his siblings. The very few times I'd gotten the chance to see / hear him perform, I had always been humbled by his voice and his talents and did not dare consider myself to be any thing close to his level as a performer/singer. Although, he wouldn't hesitate to tell me different. Always encouraging. He will be missed by many. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Sing on!
