Today we laid you to rest, it's really hard to believe your gone.. it won't be the same when I make that journey home this summer. I have many good memories of you. I always will remember the time you caught Helen and I trying to peek through the cracks in the ceiling of that old farm house we lived in, trying to see what we got for Christmas before it was wrapped, you came sneaking up the stairs and hollered at us to get to bed.. I almost wet my pants, we both made a mad dash for the bed and jumped in. Every summer visiting you meant a ride in the country and you would show us where we used to live and talked about the people in the area. The police car that I got from you for Christmas one year, hiding Karens horse in the barn at the farm so she could surprise you when you came home.. I am heartbroken that I was unable to attend your funeral in person but I'll be there at your celebration of life when we're able to have it..
As I sit here my eyes fill with tears at the thought of never seeing you again, I know that you have gone to join our brother in heaven. Love you forever Tommy and miss you always..

Although in a different province distances away he was always on the mind of his sister Helen he was an favoured uncle of mine had some treasured memories of him as a child and young adult. It is too bad we couldn't visit more often or spend more time together but the time we did spend it was filled with joyful memories I'm saddened to hear of his passing even through all the hardships he was a beacon of light that will never be extinguished. I will forever live with a heavy heart due to the distance between him and us his memory will live on forever through photos and videos via his surviving siblings, children and their children he will never be forgotten for as long as we all shall live and perhaps any animosity that lingers between family members can disapate as well with his passing. Sincere condolences to aunt Karen his life long confidante and other immediate family we will always have the memories of Thomas Hazzard.
