

Mark Andrew Oldring passed away May 3, 2012 of a sudden heart attack. He was 55 years old. Mark was born June 19, 1956 in Edmonton, Alberta to Ron and Eileen Oldring. He was the sixth of seven children. As an infant,the family moved to Richmond, B.C. until Mark was 7 and they then settled in Carnation. Mark attended school and was a 1974 Tolt High graduate. He then graduated from Langara College in Vancouver, B.C. in 1975 and attended school again in 1978 in Yakima, Wa. graduating from JM Perry Trade school. Both with a degree in Graphic Design.
Mark leaves behind his three children, Raven(Scott)Baxter and their children Preston and Sawyer, Tyler Oldring and his son Andrew, Jakeb Oldring and his children Kyah,Hayden and Dakota. He is also survived by older sisters Susan Ryan (Sammantha), Teresa Goldberg (Rochelle, Sara,David) Rita Nelson (Paul)(Paul,Tracy, Robin, Kenny). And his brothers Douglas (Michelle, R.D.), Philip(Diane) his children (Kyle, Kelli,Kymberli). And Aunts,Uncles, cousins,neices and nephews, great neices and nephews and friends.
He joins in God's glory, his Dad and Mom and sister Marilyn who is survived by her children Deni and Angi.
Much of Mark's working career was in Graphic design, and you can enjoy his work all across the valley in most of the sport fields. He was always willing to lend a hand, especially if it had to do with graphics. He enjoyed lettering and was very gifted in art. Mark loved to dance, sing, play his harmonica, and enjoyed his friendships.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 11, at 2:00 pm, St. Anthony's Catholic Church, followed by a potluck reception in the church basement. Mark would have been the first to say thank you to everyone who has shared in our grief and offered such kind prayers and comfort.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mark Oldring memorial fund at the Bank of America additional funds will go to the D.A.R.E. program.
