Sarah Ellen Harwell

Sarah Ellen McDonald Harwell, 71, of Snoqualmie, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah. Born Dec. 29, 1940, she spent most of her life in Texas before moving to Washington state in 2009. Her hobbies included knitting, reading, and playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Ellen Harwell Jones and husband Scott Kelton Jones of Snoqualmie; grandchildren Tate Kelton Jones and Talie Elisabeth Jones of Snoqualmie; sister Georgia Mae "Joy" Hood of Lewisville, Texas; and brother Billy Paul McDonald of Gainesville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Leon Harwell; parents George Elmer "Jake" and Nora Angelina Keener McDonald; and sister Betty Lou McDonald Voirin.

Following cremation in Seattle, Sarah’s remains will be laid to rest in Flower Mound, Texas, next to those of her husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Si Senior Center, 411 Main Ave. S, North Bend, WA 98045.
