Agnes Marie Godin

Relatives and friends of Marie Godin are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service on Tuesday.

Marie was born in 1943 in Loris, South Carolina to the late David Oneal and Mable Olean Stroud. She graduated from North Charleston High School in 1961 and married Jerry, the love of her life, in 1962. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary earlier this month. Marie devoted her life to her family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking, gardening and attending regular monthly meetings with her long standing book club friends. Marie enjoyed working as a licensed real estate and insurance agent in the Charleston area for many years.

Marie is survived by her loving husband Jerry, her two children Lisa Brantley (Sidney), of Mount Pleasant, Michael Godin of Hanahan; three grandchildren, Joshua A. Godin (Ashton), Rachel Brantley Rice (Dakota), and Rebecca Brantley Strat (Nicholas); one great-grandson, Waylon A. Godin; and a brother Wayne Stroud.

Marie was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Carlisle and Earl Stroud.
