She was born on October 26th, 1967 in Manila, Philippines to Pedro & Barbara (Souyer) Bugarin.
She loved her time as class beauty, on homecoming court, cheerleader, and 86’ graduate of R. B. Stall High School. She was married to Mark Garibay for 12 years and raised three wonderful children. She built L. A. Salon as well as Bridal Registry LLC located in Goose Creek, South Carolina where she had the chance to serve as an instructor for fashion models for Barbizon. Anna ultimately represented Hamby Events as one of their top employees where she had the opportunity to appear as the catering representative on an episode of Bravo TV’s Top Chef. Anna truly enjoyed nurturing through cooking and caring for her loved ones no matter her circumstances. From karaoke nights, and vacationing at her favorite beach house in Folly Beach, Anna was always the life of the party. Anna also spent her time through charitable works for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston as well as the Jenkins Orphanage, bringing her energy and charisma to service for her community which she was undoubtedly proud of. Anna was a practicing and devout Christian and had a close and strong relationship with her Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ.
Anna is survived by her three children; Charles Bugarin, Raymond (Teresa) Garibay and Jacob (Shayla) Garibay; her grandchildren, Liam and Robert; her mother, Barbara Bugarin; her siblings; Rosano (Sharon) Bugarin Sr., Jeffry Bugarin, and Darwina (Evan) Bugarin; her loving aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, cousins, and her boyfriend of 4 years, Benji Morris.
Predeceased by her father Pedro F. Bugarin, Uncle Josefino F. Bugarin, and her infant sister Marilou.
Remarks from her family describe her as beach lover, one of the most thoughtful thrifters, the biggest cat enthusiast, the messiest but decadent chef who hosted haircut parties full of food, laughter, and fun; who hopped in her convertible wasting no time to take care of the ones she loved, and who protected her family and friends with style.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Anna touched are invited to the Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston, South Carolina to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.
