

Antonio “Tony” Encinas Ragos, 78, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022, surrounded by family. Tony was born on August 22, 1944, to the late Crisologo Ragos and Lourdes Encinas in Gubat, Sorsogon, Philippines. He is survived by wife, Belen; four handsome sons – Carl (Kristie), Dave (Sue Ann), Eric (Carin), and Francis (Danielle); three beautiful grandchildren – Antonio Joseph (8), Ella Grace (8), and Kylie (6); four siblings – Cris, Mila, Jean (Rene), and Willie (Mila); and many nieces & nephews.
Tony was a devoted, loving, and caring husband to his wife of 49 years. They were from the same town and were classmates since the first grade until their senior year in high school. After graduating from Gubat High School, he attended the Mapua Institute of Technology where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. He was very passionate with engineering where he excelled and worked for over 48 years. He was an ethical, honest, trustworthy, and hardworking colleague.
In his spare time, Tony enjoyed singing, listening to music, and tending to his garden. He loved nature and the outdoors. Tony was a devout Catholic and was actively involved with the Bicol Association of Charleston. Tony lived a simple but meaningful life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation.
Viewing is on Thursday, November 3, 2022, between 5 and 7 pm at the Carolina Memorial Home (7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406). Funeral Service is on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 10 am at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church. (1106 Fort Drive, Hanahan, SC 29410)
