Mr. Archie Skipper

Archie Thomas Skipper, age 77, of Cross, SC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at a local hospital. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was born in Conway, SC on December 9, 1936 to the late Murray Skipper and Emma Skipper. Archie served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed reading and was an avid fisherman. He was a character and would go to breakfast every morning at the Canal Lakes Resort and spend time with his friends and the Resort staff. He was a member of the Dorchester Masonic lodge # 369. Archie is survived by his daughter: Karen White of Goose Creek SC; grandchildren: Brittany Ouvry of Goose Creek SC, and Tabitha White of Goose creek SC; great grandson: Grayson Taylor; brothers: Pete Skipper, Dough Skipper, and Eugene Skipper; sister: Edna Bell Martin. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife: Joan Skipper. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC, 29406. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the funeral home.
