Arlene was born on 10/27/1955 to the Elizabeth G. Huggins and Alvin Carter in Charleston, South Carolina.
Arlene is survived by her children Cassandra Turner, Andre Kelly (Tamekia), Kayna Darby (Glenn), and Jessica Williams; Her 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arlene is preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth G. Huggins, her father Alvin Carter, her sisters Lorraine Grant and Felicia Huggins, and her son Damien A. Kelly.
Arlene’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met.
A Visitation will be held November 20, 2021 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Celebration of life will follow in the Chapel from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
