

Bertha (Beezer) Robbins Hall died at the age of 97 on November 12, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family members. She was born on July 7, 1928, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William L. Robbins, Sr., and Bertha Ditto Robbins. Beezer was married to the late Roy J. Hall who served in the United States Navy.
A giving and loving person, “Beezer”—as she was affectionately called—adored her family, friends, line dancing, dressing up in costume, and was passionate about playing cards. Her favorite saying was, “Can we please play a quick game before you go.” Her constant companion was her cherished cat Milo.
Beezer was preceded in death by her brother William L. Robbins Jr., and her daughter Vere Elizabeth Porter. She is survived by her daughters: Charon Hall Jarrett (Mike) of Hanahan, SC; Rene Hall Thompson of Pooler, GA; and Kimberly Hall Sleasman (Jeff) of Somerset, PA. She was the proud grandmother of Alicia Jarrett, Kelly Hearne, Marci Upchurch, Christopher Thompson, Megan Gillingham, Mary Elizabeth Sleasman, Benjamin Sleasman, Christy Porter, and John Adam Porter, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 12:30 until 1:30 with a chapel service to follow at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, located at 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. Bertha will then be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Gardens thereafter.
