Brandon David Fontenot

Brandon David Fontenot, 31, of North Charleston passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019.
Brandon was born October 17, 1988. He was a 2006 graduate of Fort Dorchester High School where he enjoyed being a part of the wrestling team. He worked for Protego USA, Inc. Brandon was an enthusiastic Clemson Tiger fan, always representing his team wearing orange. He loved politics and reading about historical events. Brandon had a passion and love for all animals, but he had a very special bond and love for his dog, Otto.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Megan Bessinger Fontenot; mother, Susan Knight Fontenot; sister, Lauren Fontenot; grandparents, Wayne and Carolyn Knight and great-grandmother, Mary Day. He took great pride in being a loving uncle to his only nephew, Elijah Fontenot. He also is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, David Fontenot and grandparents, Tony and Ruth Fontenot.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremation located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. 843-797-2222. A funeral service for Brandon will be on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremation Chapel. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park.

Brandon was one of the first people I met when I started at Boeing. He actually trained me. Very smart young man, and he knew the airplane very well. May his spirit Rest In Peace. My condolences to his wife, parents and his family. God bless.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May you find peace at this time and always. I remember meeting Brandon and his family when he was on the same wrestling club as my son. Great memories of him and the times at Ft Dorchester.
