

Brenda was preceded in death by her father Baxter Morton, mother Ruby Jenkins and her sister Judy Faircloth.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 63 years Julius E Lewis, Sr. Her two sons James (Andy) Lewis (Carol Lewis) and Julius E Lewis, Jr (Linda Lewis). She had three grandchildren, Julius (Jay) E Lewis III (Julius Lewis), Kimberly Lewis (Lance Cochran) and Andrew Lewis. She had five great grandchildren, Caleb, Emmalee, Mason, Lorelei and Madalyn. She also has four surviving sisters: Frankie (Ed) Prince, Kay (Bing) Vaught, Phyliss Morton and Penny ( Jon) Howell.
Brenda was a long-time resident of North Charleston. She worked as a substitute teacher and coaching youth basketball, as she was a basketball player herself. She loved working with children. She was also a manager at Globe securities for 35 years. She loved telling stories of her time with scanning and searching items from the Port. Never try to get vodka instead of water, cause she would find it. Her passion was her grandbabies and bingo.
Brenda will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Gardens of North Charleston on Tuesday, May 21st at 3 pm. The viewing will be at 1 pm and the Celebration of Life will be from 2-3 pm at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. All are welcome to attend.
