Mr. Crosby had one of the brightest smiles I’ve ever seen. He was always saying something so smart and witty. I did not know him before taking care of him but he always made me smile! His daughters treated us (workers) with so much much respect and always were saying kind and encouraging words. I’ll miss Mr. Crosby and his family. They all were such kind and loving people.

To Linda, Mr Charles, & Carol. Thank you for being such great support to Papa. I'm sure you will miss all those trips to see him. One thing is for sure, y'all stood by him and for that I appreciate. I also
appreciate your friendship over the last few years. Especially your support to myself & my husband since his stroke. Great friends are few & far between. Thank the Lord for you and making me a part of your parents lives. Please keep in touch. Love you always, Darleen Gaskins

To the family: Papa, as I was introduced to and called him, was the sweetest person anyone could have known. He was as I called him a gentle giant. I thank the Lord for the opportunity I had in being a part of Papa (Mr Carl) & Mama (Mrs Doris's) life as a sitter in the Nursing Home where they resided. They both were the sweetest people. Papa with his beautiful blue eyes would just watch you everywhere you went, with a mile wide smile. At night he would be just as sweet as he could be, no problems ever, even when he wasn't feeling well he would just smile. He would tell me stories about his work, when I could get him to talk. In his mind he would work & work, and I would be kind of like his assistant. He would hand me parts that he was working on, I always supposed it was on the space shuttle. He would talk about his Dad from time to time.

He was a very wonderful friend. Some days at work he would talk other days not so much. If anything I learned about him, he definitely loved his wife. He was a quiet man, who never required much, the time I knew him. He held, as well as his family, a Special place in my heart and forever will. Love you, Darleen Gaskins

The greatest, kindest, most gentle man that I have ever been blessed to know. You will always remain special to my heart. I will forever cherish the memories of summers in Florida, you taking me to the pool every evening after dinner, going to the lake to swim, watching the space shuttle take flight right from the cape grounds itself, even being able to take trips to Cape Canaveral when you worked there (not many can say that), and sharing your ice cream and cake before bed.
I will forever feel blessed with being able to care for you and Mama both for several years during your golden years. It left me so many good memories.!
Now, just over two years to the date, you are with your beautiful wife. God speed Papa!
