Cecilia P Pascual

Cecilia Pre Pascual, age 81, of Summerville, South Carolina passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. Cecilia was born in Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines on November 22, 1941, to Ernesto Pre and Coleta Paculan Pre.

Cecilia is survived by her daughters, Marie Cecille Pascual Campbell and Grace Leah Pascual Bogtong (Richard); her grandchildren, Richard Glen Campbell Jr. (Caitlyn), David Marcel Campbell, Madison Leah Bogtong, Michael Alexander Bogtong, and Alyssa Grace Bogtong; her great-granddaughter, Haevyn Jewelanne Campbell; her brother, Victor Pre (Josephine); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cecilia is preceded in death by her loving husband Marcelino Ruiz Pascual; her parents; three brothers Florencio Pre, Francisco Pre, Ernesto Pre Jr.; and her son-in-law Richard Glen Campbell.

Cecilia was a kind and loving woman. She grew up in the Philippines and in her adult life earned a bachelor’s degree and became a teacher. Once she met the love of her life, Marcelino, she moved to the United States with him and became a US Navy wife. The job she took the most pride in was the one of raising her children. Once they started middle school, Cecilia went back to work as a seamstress at the Levi Manufacturing Plant & Hunters Manufacturing Company. When she found out that she was going to be a “mama”, Cecilia retired and had the pleasure of helping to take care of her grandchildren. Cecilia was a member of the Pangasinan Filipino Association in South Carolina as well as the Filipino American Association. She loved to attend all of the dances and functions with her husband by her side. In her free time, Cecilia loved to play bingo and especially loved traveling to the Philippines to visit her family. Cecilia was a member of the parish at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in North Charleston, South Carolina. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by those who knew her.

A Visitation will take place at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 6pm-8pm with the Rosary beginning at 7pm. A Funeral Mass with take place on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, 6650 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC at 11:00am. A burial will follow immediately after at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
