Clarence Alton Johnson

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 12 Noon, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Flowers will be accepted.

Alton was born in Valdosta, Georgia, on May 21, 1948. He was the son of Charlie Johnson and Margaret Mock.

He proudly served in the Vietnam War and Desert Storm Desert Shield. Alton loved to fish and play poker and was an amazing father, husband, and grandfather that will be missed deeply.

Alton is survived by his sons, Benny Drawdy (Georgia), Ricky Drawdy (Karen), Jimmy Drawdy (Patty) and Shelvin Johnson (Aimee); his grandchildren, Grayson Drawdy, Madison Drawdy, Ashley Drawdy, Travis Drawdy, Angle Long, Dana Drawdy, Jim Drawdy, Victoria Drawdy, Elaine Drawdy, Cierra Drawdy, Michael Henn and Brandon Henn, as well as several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elaine Johnson.
