She was born June 29, 1932 in Hanover, PA.,to the late Jean D. and Helen Guy Watkins.
She loved listening to Elvis and big band music, collecting antiques, studying astrology, and spending time at her second home in Miami.
Dorian is survived by a daughter, Jan (Jerry) Garris Stoots, of Goose Creek, a sister, Eleanor Watkins Osborne, of James Island, two grandchildren, Lindsay (Aaron) Ball, of Charleston and Brandon (Marissa Grodzicki) Stoots, of Moncks Corner, two great-grandchildren, James and Victoria Ball, two nieces, Donna (Roy) Osborne Garner, of Charleston and Holly Osborne, of Johns Island, two nephews, Elton and Richie Garris, and great nephew and niece, Sam and Sydney Chivers.
In addition to her parents, Dorian was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Garris, a niece, Deneille Garris Ward, and her beloved grand dog “Champ”.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 1:30 pm in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Garris’ caregivers, Christy Shingler, Susan Denaux, Sandra Crittenton, and Raven Combs for their exceptional care and kindness.
